Topic:  "Saving Our One-Room Schoolhouses: What's in it for us?"

Speaker:  Susan Fineman, M.Ed.

Location:  Wigwam Museum (Corner of Middle & Cross Streets)

Susan Fineman will outline the reasons why people fall in love with one-room schoolhouses and work so hard to preserve them. From their humble beginnings to current efforts at costly preservation, there are compelling reasons for people's perservation efforts.

Topic: "Five Generations of Printing and Engraving"

Speaker: R. P. Hale

Location: Congregational Church of Amherst (Village Green) Vestry

Mr. Hale, a 5th generation master engraver and printer, will be here to explain how this art form and trade has evolved throughout history. He will bring an array of samples and supporting materials to illustrate his fascinating program.

Join documentary producer, John Gfroerer, as he presents "World War II in New Hampshire" - a documentary that tells the story of life in New Hamshire during the Second World War through interviews, films, photos and radio reports.

Topic: "From Guns to Gramophones: Civil War and the Technology that Shaped America"

Speaker: Carrie Brown, PhD*

Location: Congregational Church of Amherst (Village Green) Vestry

Carrie Brown will explore the technological triumphs that saved the Union, then transformed the nation, and the role that New Hampshire played in forwarding that technology into the early 1900s.
